Family Planning

Floridas family planning and related preventive health services are available to both males and females, including teens, in all 67 counties through the local county health departments or contracted agencies. Family planning services are provided on a voluntary basis in a confidential manner. Culturally sensitive information and the value of planning your pregnancies are available in order to make an informed decision regarding the use of birth control.

Pregnancy

 Pregnancy—If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant there are steps you can take to ensure a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. The healthier you are, the better chance you have of your baby being born healthy. 

WIC

WIC is a federally funded nutrition program for Women, Infants, and Children. WIC provides the following at no cost:

  • Healthy foods
  • Nutrition education and counseling
  • Breastfeeding support
  • Referrals for health care.
